Indianapolis Kidney Walk
August 29, 2020 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm UTC
The Indianapolis Kidney Walk is a non-competitive 5k walk that brings together individuals and families affected by kidney disease, medical professionals, and community leaders in a show of support to raise awareness of kidney disease and the importance of early detection. Most importantly, it gives patients a chance to meet others going through similar struggles and share their stories of hope, resilience, and triumph.
This year, we will be featuring a FREE Kidney Health Risk Assessment. This includes a health questionnaire, body mass index calculation, and blood pressure measurement. A clinician will also be available to help participants understand their kidney disease risk factors.
This is a family friendly affair that includes music, face-painting, balloons, snacks, and FUN!
We invite you to join us in the fight against kidney disease when we throw one of the largest “celebration of life” events in the NKFI’s 50 years!
