October 15-22: NKFI supporters receive their print and/or electronic gala booklet featuring Nurses of Nephrology and special messages from the 2021 Gala sponsors and NKFI Board of Directors.
October 23, 12pm: Auction opens.
October 23, 7pm: Premier of the 2021 Honoring Nurses of Nephrology and “Reaching Beyond The Stars” gala video on NKFI’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Starting October 25, NKFI will spotlight a Nurse of the Week on NKFI’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This celebration of nephrology nurses will continue through December 10, 2021. “Reaching beyond the stars” Gala Redesigned
In consultation with transplant infectious disease physicians and the NKFI Medical Advisory Board, The National Kidney Foundation of Indiana has redesigned our originally scheduled October 23rd “Reaching Beyond The Stars” gala to a 6-week asynchronous celebration that doesn’t include gathering. As a major public health organization, the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana does not want to take a chance of transplant recipients, other kidney patients, or our vital first-line workers contracting COVID.
With your health and safety in mind, our “Reaching Beyond The Stars” gala will be coming to you from the comforts of your own home. Each week from October 25th thru December 6th, the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana will recognize a nursing honoree on our social media accounts for their hard-work and dedication to fighting kidney disease. All honorees will also be featured in a special addition of the NKFI newsletter and be invited to future NKFI events.
